ZiGate limitations

Legacy ZiGate: ZiGate coordinators are no longer supported by the plugin. This page is kept for existing ZiGate users only and is not maintained. We advise moving to a Texas Instruments, Silicon Labs or deCONZ coordinator: see Compatible coordinators.

Capacity

The number of devices depends on the ZiGate model and its firmware:

• ZiGate V1, legacy firmware: 40 devices;
• ZiGate V1, OptiPDM firmware: 70 devices, of which 20 attached directly to the ZiGate (the others through routers);
• ZiGate+ V2: 200 devices, of which 20 attached directly.

Groups

• The ZiGate V1 can only be a member of 5 groups (15 for the ZiGate+ V2).
• A device can usually be a member of 5 groups only.
